About Me

Paula Donohue
PAULA DONOHOE  |  Supervision Services

I work as an independent consultant supervisor, as well as practising as a social worker on a children disability network team. I have 30 years’ experience of working with family and children in a variety of settings. My clinical supervisory experience expands from working with social workers, social care, nurses, and allied professionals to senior and middle managers.

For me, supervision is a professional relationship between a supervisor and a supervisee where the supervisor facilitates the practitioner in reflecting critically upon their practice.

My supervision is informed by a number of well-know supervision and reflective models with particular attention given to aspects such as the presenting needs, the relational nature of the work, the unconscious dynamics and parallels that may be in operation, as well as many other layers such as developmental stage and learning style.
